MEGOGO AUDIO Has Started Accepting Applications for the Award for Podcasters

Applications are accepted from July 24 to August 5. Authors and teams can submit independently.

This year's audio award will include 12 nominations that reflect the spectrum of topics of creators and interests of the Ukrainian audience: the best podcast in the interview genre, about culture and art, historical podcast, informative podcast, about health, relationships, and self-development, about business, independent podcast, sports podcast, about reading and literature, about science and technology, an entertainment podcast and professions. The MEGOGO AUDIO team will choose the grand prize of the "Slushno" award from among the shortlisted participants.

The MEGOGO AUDIO team will form short lists of nominees in each of the 12 categories. Listeners will vote for these participants. In addition, this year will include evaluations from a professional jury, whose members include media experts, journalists, podcasters, communicators, and representatives of the creative and business industries. The organizers will gradually introduce the jury on the official Instagram page.

"It is important for the MEGOGO AUDIO team to listen to stakeholders and understand market trends. Thanks to this, we can react qualitatively and adapt the premium. We increased the number of main nominations and allowed podcasters to choose two categories for their projects at once, increasing their chances of winning. For the first time in four years, we will have a separate nomination for independent podcasters, who often lack platforms and tools to promote themselves. "Slushno" is not only about awards and victories but also the opportunity to talk about your podcast and show it to tens of thousands of listeners who come to the award site to discover new projects and names," says the MEGOGO press service.

Timing and Mechanics: 

• July 24 - August 5 - applications are accepted;
• August 15 - announcement of short lists in each nomination - 6 podcasts each, which move to the next stage;
• August 15 - September 10 - online voting by listeners and jury.

Within each nomination, listeners cast their votes, and the jury assigns its own points, based on four evaluation criteria:

1. Content and narration;
2. Technical quality of the podcast;
3. Work on attracting listeners, visibility of the project in its category;
4. Originality and creativity in product creation.

The listeners' votes and the jury's evaluation are converted into points. The final result depends on the sum of the points of the jury and the listeners.
