"Life After Scars": 1+1 Media Initiates a Large-scale Social Project and Collects the Experience of Ukrainian Business in Interaction with Veterans

1+1 Media announces the launch of a large-scale social project "Life after Scars", which, together with robota.ua and in partnership with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, collects the experience of Ukrainian employers regarding the reintegration of veterans into civilian work.

1+1 Media announces the launch of a large-scale social project "Life after scars" - an initiative designed to help veterans on the way back to civilian life, as well as to systematize the unique experience of Ukrainian employers in interaction with this target audience.

The initiative is based on more than 10 years of relevant experience of 1+1 Media in communication with veterans and will include various formats: from special projects on digital platforms and Kyivstar TV, social advertising, thematic partnerships with Ukrainian business, to integration into television programs and rubrics

"The project is an important step in building a society without barriers and in creating favorable conditions for veterans, helping them successfully integrate into civilian life and cope with the problems that arise along the way. The slogan of the project is "You are not alone in civilian life", so with practical actions, not words, we will do everything possible to make our defenders feel comfortable while going through this path of adaptation," says the general director of 1+1 Media Yaroslav Pakholchuk.

The media company announces that the first step in scaling the project outward, which has been implemented within 1+1 Media for a long time, will be the creation of a digital directory for employers together with the job search site robota.ua. Its goal is to gather the unique experience of Ukrainian business in interaction with veterans.

"The project "Life after scars" became possible thanks to the ideas of our employees and their involvement in corporate life, as well as, first of all, thanks to our defenders. We volunteer a lot, help the army a lot, implement important changes internally and are ready to share this experience with others. Most of all, having great media capabilities, we want to talk even more about a conscious Ukrainian business that systematically works with veterans, because such social partnerships are one of the vectors of our communication strategy," commented Olha Zakharova, Director of Strategic Marketing 1+1 Media and general producer of the 1+1 Ukraine TV channel.

The online document will include practical recommendations, case studies and strategies from employers who have successfully adapted their work processes and policies to integrate veterans into their teams. 1+1 Media together with robota.ua will ensure wide distribution of this resource for all interested parties, highlighting important projects of conscious Ukrainian business and inspiring employers who are just starting to systematically work with veterans.

Ukrainian businesses with relevant experience in the reintegration of veterans can participate in the creation of the digital guide "Life after Scars". You can fill out the questionnaire by following the link. The collection of cases will continue until the end of 2024.

"The issue of integration of veterans into the civilian working environment is not only about social responsibility, it is about a new reality that sooner or later every company in Ukraine will face. Developing veteran programs is an investment in the future. Veterans bring with them unshakable will, courage and desire for new achievements. They know the true value of hard work, team spirit and dedication. By attracting such employees, the business receives not only qualified and motivated specialists, but also increases its productivity and efficiency. Supporting veterans demonstrates the company's social responsibility, enhancing its reputation among customers, partners and investors. It also improves the working atmosphere, creating an environment of mutual help and mutual respect," said Maryna Golovko, Human Resources Director of robota.ua.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war, robota.ua's activities have been aimed at implementing solutions that will help veterans find work and employers find relevant employees. So, in the summer of 2024, the company added special tools and functions to the portal to make this search comfortable and fast.

The main platforms of the "Life after scars" project are Facebook and Instagram 1+1 Media, 1+1, 2+2, Kyivstar TV film and television platform, news sites TSN.ua, UNIAN, Glavred and 1+1, TV channels 1+1 Marathon, 1+1 Ukraine, 2+2, TET and others.
