1+1 media presented its Corporate Social Responsibility report.

It is based on the key activities related to 1+1 media's information activities, charity and social projects in the context of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. The report covers the period of 2022-2023.

‘The two years since the full-scale invasion have been extremely important for the company: 1+1 media has implemented a lot of changes in line with the challenges of our time. I am proud that we have been able to adapt and continue to implement projects that change the media and society for the better,’ said 1+1 media CEO Yaroslav Pakholchuk.

The initiatives mentioned in the document are among the main areas of 1+1 media's Corporate Social Responsibility, including: ‘Responsible Content’, “Employee Development”, “Copyright Protection”, “Education of Ukrainians”, “Environmental Responsibility and Care for the Environment” and “Building a Society without Barriers”. The report presents the key results of the company's activities in 2022-2023 under these headings:

‘Building a society without barriers’. For 1+1 media, it is important to ensure equal opportunities and create and distribute content about inclusiveness to build an open society. The report describes new initiatives such as ‘Live on’ and ‘Overcome Barriers’, cooperation with NGOs and veterans' organisations, the company's participation in thematic events and training for employees;
‘Responsible Content. The selection reveals some of the initiatives that tell about the current war, the history of Ukraine and cover topics important to society. These are documentary and patriotic films, historical, children's and entertainment projects created by 1+1 media or distributed on the company's resources. Among the initiatives implemented over the past two years are the documentary projects ‘Let's rebuild’, ‘History of the issue’, ‘Cultural code. Programmed to Kill’, four-part drama “I Am Hope”, documentaries “Battle for Kyiv” and “See the Bottom”, animated series ’Ukraine. Unconquered Cities’, the All-Ukrainian Time Capsule initiative and much more;
‘Copyright protection. 1+1 media is implementing initiatives to combat online piracy and is a member of the Clear Sky initiative, which aims to develop a culture of using legal content. In 2023, the company expanded its portfolio of TV channels broadcasting high-quality content. For example, the company launched a revamped 1+1 Ukraine TV channel, Comedy Central started broadcasting, and Netflix increased the amount of Ukrainian content, in particular, thanks to comedy series from TET;
‘Education of Ukrainians. The report describes the activities of two educational projects: 1+1 media school and the internship programme ‘Closer to TV’, which resumed operations in 2023. In total, over two years, 1+1 media school has organised 23 course streams, and 46 interns have had the opportunity to learn from professionals under the Closer to TV programme;
‘Employee development. 1+1 media supports the professional development of its employees. In 2023, the company resumed the League of Plus programme for training team leaders, created more than 10 programmes at the Electronic University, and implemented a number of projects on barrier-free access, psychological support for employees and adaptation of veterans;
‘Environmental responsibility and care for the environment’. The section describes initiatives to collect batteries, save energy, and cover environmental issues in news programmes. The company also broadcasts thematic stories on the day of memorable dates related to the environment, for example, the documentary ‘Split into Atoms’ on the anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy.
One of the most important aspects of the company's activities in 2022-2023 was information counteraction to the enemy and the implementation of projects that bring Ukraine's victory closer. These include the destruction of fakes in the international media space, cooperation with foreign journalists, recording Russian crimes and disseminating information about them around the world.

1+1 media has implemented a number of volunteer initiatives: providing humanitarian aid to the Borodyansky psychoneurological boarding school, a communication campaign to prevent human trafficking, and a project calling for a boycott of Russian and Belarusian athletes who supported Russian aggression. TSN and Breakfast with 1+1 hosts took part in a number of charity events, raising about UAH 8,000,000. On 24 August 2023, 1+1 media launched the nationwide initiative ‘Grove of Children's Dreams’ to commemorate the children who died as a result of Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine.

An important step for 1+1 media was the creation of Big Brave Events, where the team implements international multi-genre projects and organises events to spread information about Ukraine and raise funds. Thus, three charity telethons raised UAH 55,000,000 to cover humanitarian and medical needs, and charity matches from Dynamo Kyiv raised more than UAH 35,000,000.

The report also contains information about good initiatives at 1+1 media, such as collecting Russian-language literature and recycling it into waste paper, holding a Donor Day at the company's office, employees participating in charity marathons and visiting an animal shelter. A separate section of the document is dedicated to military journalists who continue to cover the news from the frontline in the face of a full-scale invasion.

‘Today, 1+1 media creates relevant, interesting and valuable content and joins socially important initiatives. This is how we see the work of a responsible media outlet in times of war,’ commented 1+1 media CEO Yaroslav Pakholchuk.
