1+1 media launches the sale of the pre-premiere screening of the series "#SCHOOL"

The 1+1 media group announced the sale of early access to the pre-premiere showing of the continuation of the second season of the popular series "#SCHOOL" for users of the 1+1 video mobile application. The cost of viewing new episodes before they are broadcast will be UAH 49. Fans will be able to buy early access and get the opportunity to see the continuation of the series as early as March 1.

The sale of pre-premiere viewing was the first experiment of the digital team 1+1 media with payment for viewing content on the Ukrainian market. Previously, the group monetized its video library using an advertising model.

"We continue to develop ways to monetize our content. In order to find your ideal formula, you need the courage to experiment. We decided to start with TVOD and for this experiment we chose the new season of the series "# SCHOOL". This product is well suited for such a case, as it has a loyal audience not only among TV viewers, but also among Internet users. So, for example, the first episode of the first season on YouTube collected more than 7.4 million views," says Anna Tkachenko, digital director of 1+1 media .

"The sale of pre-premiere viewing of new series in the application will allow the media group to discover a new source of monetization. International experience shows that expanding the range of delivery methods of a TV product increases its audience. Therefore, as before, we provide the viewer with options for viewing the content in any convenient way for him, only this time we have expanded our offer with one more format", - says the director of marketing communications of 1+1 media Svitlana Paveletska .

We will remind you that earlier 1+1 media launched the 1+1 video mobile application for Android smartphones with access to the group's VOD content. The video library, to which the program provides access, contains more than 23,000 hours of feature and documentary films, series, and entertainment shows produced by the media holding. In addition, 1+1 video users can access live broadcasts of the media group's TV channels:    "1+1", "2+2", "TET", "PLUSPLUS", "Curlers", "UNIAN TV".
