28 червня у Києві відбудеться презентація книги Акіма Галімова та Руслана Шаріпова «Українські палаци. Відновлення історії. Золота доба»

On Friday, 28 June, the bookstore book.ua will host a presentation of the book "Ukrainian Palaces. Recovering History. The Golden Age" by Akim Galimov, producer of 1+1 media, founder of the Real History project, and Ruslan Sharipov, host and screenwriter of 1+1 media.

In this edition, the authors tell the amazing story of Ukrainian palaces and, together with a team of scientists, recreate the destroyed palaces (Lubomirski Palace in Rivne, Sanguszko Palace in Iziaslav, Kochubei Palace in Dykanka, and others) in 3D to show their unique architecture and beauty.

"Our book is a logical continuation of the project 'Ukrainian Palaces. The Golden Age" project. On the one hand, we tell about our incredible heritage, and on the other hand, we destroy the Russian imperial myths about our territories. For a long time, the history of palaces and their owners was banned because Ukraine could not have an elite, a wealthy stratum of people, those who had a different view from Moscow," comments Akim Galimov.

"This project is important because it brings us back to the European family of nations and demonstrates the unbreakable cultural connection with Europe. The principle is simple: to tell about those objects that no longer physically exist or those where only walls remain. The publication contains a large number of illustrations, drawings, old photographs and, of course, 3D models of the palaces, which were created together with a team of professional architects," Ruslan Sharipov emphasises.

The authors hope that the book will interest a wide audience, encourage people to visit the historical sites of our country, and encourage them to study national and local monuments.

"This book will be of interest not only to those who study architectural heritage, but also to anyone who is interested in our history, the process of identity formation, and historical events that have influenced our present. After all, the book is about people through palaces, not just about historical monuments," says Akim Galimov.

Ruslan Sharipov adds: "The book is for those who like to travel and are interested in history. It is a guide to the virtual world of the lost history of Ukrainian palaces and their owners. The six palaces selected for this book are in ruins, but they preserve the incredible history of kings, the first Ukrainian oligarchs and aristocracy who came to Ukraine from different parts of Europe and settled here."

During the presentation, the authors will tell how the idea for the project came about, how they worked on the book, which was published by Fabula Publishing House, and why it is important for Ukraine at this time.

The event is free, but requires prior registration, which is available here. The event starts at 18:30. The address is 2/1 Lysenko St., Kyiv.
