Kyivstar TV analytics: how Ukrainians watched TV and which TV channels became the leaders of TV viewing in March 2013

In March 2023, Ukrainian television hosted several important TV premieres that slightly changed the positions of TV channels in the overall TOP 20 rating.

In addition, the Kyivstar TV platform and PLUSPLUS TV channel broadcast the exclusive premiere of an important social project - the animated series Sesame Street, which helps children cope with the difficulties and barriers caused by the ongoing crisis and life in a major war.
We talk about the transformations in TV viewing and the key projects that received the most attention from viewers in Ukraine in the analytics from Kyivstar TV. 
Traditionally, while the Nielsen panel, which was engaged in TV measurement before the full-scale war, is being updated, the market continues to focus on viewing data from OTT platforms. In turn, Kyivstar TV provides relevant information for the TV ratings of the independent agency BIG DATA UA.
Top 20 TV channels in March 2023

According to the results of TV viewing in March, Novy TV channel continues to hold the first place in the TOP 20 TV channels with a share of 9.9%, mainly broadcasting movie hits and entertainment projects. In addition, in March, Novy TV channel premiered the entertainment show "eQuestions" with host Lesya Nikitiuk.
Having released several premieres at once - the reality show Supermama, the culinary project Hell's Kitchen with Yevhen Klopotenko, the call sign programme Nadiia and other TV products - STB took second place in the TOP 20 with 8.1%, up 1.2 percentage points at once.

2+2 continues to close the top three in March with 7.3% share, having increased its audience by 0.3 percentage points. In March, 2+2 viewers were able to watch several premieres of documentary projects: "Ukraine of the future. Defeating the Aggressor" and "Cultural Code", as well as the broadcasting of football matches within the current Ukrainian Football Championship.

1+1 Marathon TV channel, which together with other newsrooms is working on the development of "United News", lost 0.8 percentage points in March and consolidated its position at the fourth place in the top with 8.1% share.

TET added 0.5 p.p. to its share last month and is now in fifth place with 6.1%. In March, TET viewers were treated to the high-profile premieres of I Love Ukraine, He Cooks, She Manages, Closer to the Stars, Crazy Neighbours and other TV shows. By the way, the premiere episode of I Love Ukraine garnered a 9.7% share, thus securing second place in the slot.
TV channels that appeared on the platform in December last year continue to increase their audience: ICTV2 moved from 8th place to 6th place in the TOP-20 in March (5.6% share), and 1+1 Ukraine was in 7th position (5.2% share).

In addition, the March ranking includes Viasat TV channels, which, according to the decision of the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, were withdrawn from the air on 31 March. Accordingly, we expect changes in the TOP 20 TV channels of the month in April.
