The 1+1 Digital team held the second 1+1 Digital Weekend

This time the event was attended by about 1,000 guests, and the speaker pool, in addition to the 1+1 Digital team, was joined by foreign and Ukrainian experts from such companies as: Viber, Google Ukraine, Radioaktive Film, MOZGI Group, Comfy, Kyivstar, Bird in Flight, Volya and Nova Poshta.

The event program consisted of 4 thematic blocks, which included lectures and public discussions on the creation of web series and storytelling in brand communication:

·        Content & Platforms – about content creation, distribution and monetization;

·        Media & Technologies - about how today's technologies change tomorrow's information environment;

·        Storytelling is about creating stories that can change people, companies and markets;

·        Advertising & Creative - about the impression economy and how brands can communicate through information noise.

The Content & Platforms section was dedicated to the creation, distribution and monetization of content. Today, it is important not only to create interesting content, but also to be able to make it so that it is always in the field of view of your audience. Head of Web-production 1+1 Digital Danylo Shchestyuk talked about YouTube trends and monetization of video content, and Special Guest - Industry Head-Branding Google Ukraine Serhiy Bratusyov shared information about popular topics in the Ukrainian segment of YouTube and new approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of advertising communication. Oleksandr Kozachenko, head of external distribution of video content and entertainment Internet projects of 1+1 media, told how to stand out when everyone is writing about the same events.

At the Media & Technologies section, speakers talked about how today's technologies are changing the information environment of tomorrow. Dmytro Zhuk, head of web development at 1+1 Digital, spoke about the specifics of managing media projects, and Artem Lyozin, head of 1+1 Digital R&D, Product Owner of 1+1 video and SUDUM projects, shared his experience of launching startups within the company. Foreign insights were presented by Special Guest Kostyantyn Kostadinov, Sales Director, CEE at Viber. He talked about the future of messengers and how, thanks to them, businesses are already getting new tools for interacting with the audience.

The third thematic area of 1+1 Digital Weekend 2019 was dedicated to storytelling. Today, technology gives us endless opportunities to create and distribute content. During her speech, the creative producer of 1+1 Digital Studios, Iryna Nikonchuk, focused on the impact of the evolution of the smartphone camera on vlogging, and also voiced the opinion that the future leaders will be those who can tell stories. Creativity that evokes emotions is the formula for the success of any product. How to use this formula was discussed by the head of image promotion of the group, Olga Hudz, and the head of 1+1 marketing department, Natalia Vovk, using the example of the projects "Dancing with the Stars" and the TV series "School".

Vlad Miksic, Humphrey/Fulbright Fellow at Rollins School of Public Health, health policy expert, writer, executive director of the Romanian Health Observatory, spoke about the influence of social networks on people's behavior. Mark Challinor, CEO of Media Futures Ltd, concluded the topic of storytelling with a speech about the synergy of mobile technologies and storytelling in media work.

The Advertising & Creative thematic section focused on the topic of brand communication with the audience. Dmytro Panasyuk, head of 1+1 Digital Sales, spoke about the peculiarities of the Internet advertising market, and Yevhen Demchenko, art director of 1+1 Digital, devoted his speech to the problem of building work processes of the design team. Special Guest of this stream - Yevgenia Yatsuta, co-owner and chief producer of Radioactive Film, shared her experience of working with global brands - HBO, Apple, Audi.

The first and second days of the event ended with panel discussions. On the first day of 1+1 Digital Weekend, representatives of such well-known companies as Kyivstar, Comfy, and Volya shared their experience in creating web series. The panel discussion on the second day of the event was devoted to storytelling and took place with the participation of representatives of the MOZGI Group, Bird in Flight / WAS, Nova Poshta.

"Each year, the 1+1 Digital Weekend event format gathers more and more people and sets a high level of content quality for subsequent events organized by the 1+1 Digital team. The media industry is developing by leaps and bounds, which means that every day there are more and more cases for discussion. We plan to continue to invite foreign and Ukrainian experts to share their experience, as well as introduce interactive elements into our events," says Anna Tkachenko, digital director and innovation director of 1+1 media.

The Meest logistics company and the Multiplex cinema chain became the key partners of the event, which provided networking and the raffle of valuable prizes among the participants of the event.
