Leonid Kolosovsky became the sixth member of the jury of the 1+1 media project "Mind Contest: People vs. Machines"
Today, December 3, 2019, the famous Ukrainian clip maker and director Leonid Kolosovsky joined the jury team of the unique experimental project "Mind Contest: People vs. Machines", organized by the 1+1 media group.
Together with other members of the jury, head of "Television Business" 1+1 media and general producer of channel 1+1 Maksym Kryvytskyi , chief producer of entertainment programs of channel 1+1 Olga Slisarenko , creative producer of management of entertainment programs of channel 1+1 Ksenia Chorna , writer, screenwriter, singer, journalist and TV presenter Irena Karpa , Ukrainian director and music video maker Lubomyr Levytskyi , Leonid Kolosovsky will test the hypothesis that artificial intelligence can oppose human intelligence and independently create no less original content, and will determine the winner in the battle between two content makers - people and neural network.
"Discussions around artificial intelligence have been resonating in our society for many years. The classics of literature and cinematography have been demonizing and extolling the influence of the computer on human history for decades. So let's see if a computer can create an idea as gracefully as a creator? In the age of technological development, can we do without humans? Today, algorithms track our tastes and make choices for us, define us in groups and select the most optimal conditions for us. Will the computer be able to determine our feelings, which we appeal to when creating creative works? Or does a person need only a person in matters of feelings? We will try to answer these questions with the help of our project, " Leonid Kolosovsky noted.
Leonid is one of the most popular music video makers in Eastern Europe, winner of the "Music Video Maker of the Year" awards at the prestigious M1 Music Awards and XXL Men's Awards, the author of the "Best Video" of 2017 at the MUZ-TV award, a partner of MOZGI Production. Known for his videos, each of which receives millions of views, the total number of views of his videos reaches more than 1.3 billion on YouTube. Among the artists with whom Leonid Kolosovsky collaborated: Vremya y Steklo, MOZGI, Potap and Nastya, Artem Pyvovarov, NK, DZIDZIO, Open Kids, Olya Polyakova, DANTES, Leningrad and many others.
We will remind you that the project-experiment "Mind Contest: People vs. Machines", initiated by the 1+1 media group, aims to conduct a competitive competition between a team of people and neural networks in order to find out whether artificial intelligence is capable of surpassing human creativity.
The project will be implemented in several stages:
At the first stage, 1+1 media and the jury will be looking for participants to form the L-team - content makers who will dare to compete with the neural network.
In the second stage , teams of people and a neural network formed by the members of the jury will work on the implementation of their own idea. The task of each team of people is to create a teaser for their own invented seriality, which will then compete with teasers of ideas generated by the neural network. For equal chances of winning, the number of ideas from the neural network will be equal to the number of ideas from human teams.
At the third and final stage of the project , teasers created by L-teams and the neural network will be presented to the jury and viewers of the battle, but without indicating the authorship. The jury, together with the guests present at the final event, will vote for the favorite and only after that will they find out who created it - a person or a machine.
The winning team of the project will receive a financial reward of 100,000 hryvnias. If the neural network wins, the funds will go to charity.
