Almost 900 ideas were received for pitching The Next Big Thing. Generation
The professional jury of The Next Big Thing. Generation begins the stage of evaluation of works. Evaluation criteria from 1 to 10 points. Based on the votes of the jury and online audience voting on the competition website, the TOP-20 will be selected, the ratio of 70% to 30%, respectively. The online voting phase ends on August 17. Already on August 21, the TOP-20 will be announced in each of the nominations, which will go to the next stage.
In the third stage, semi-finalists will be asked to refine their idea by submitting a script for 2 to 5 episodes/issues. After that, the jury will determine the TOP-10 who will personally defend their idea at the final. It is among them that the jury will determine the winners - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each of the nominations.
"Currently, we are starting a rather responsible stage - voting and formation of the TOP-20 in each of the nominations. Since 70% of the grade depends on the jury's score, we aim to examine and analyze absolutely every work in detail. We sincerely believe that among the received applications, we will find an idea, the implementation of which will be loved by every Ukrainian viewer," comments Svitlana Paveletska, director of marketing communications of 1+1 media.
We will remind you that the previous section of the works showed that many submitted works are in the comedy genre. Most of them are stories about people who move from the village to the city. Another trend that prevails in each of the nominations is the involvement of stars in projects.
The pitching final will be held on September 28. Prize places will be determined in both nominations. The winners of the first places will receive the realization of the idea. The second place in the nomination "X-series" is the promotion and support of the format of the series on the international market for the purpose of sales. The second place in the "Z-web-formats" nomination is full idea consulting from the 1+1 Digital team. Winners of the third places will receive free education at the Higher School of Media & Production in the chosen field.
