Hear the voice of generation Z: shooting of a new series from 1+1 Digital Studios has started

The creative group "SEX, INSTA and ZNO" led by the Honored Artist of the Arts, director Antonio Lukich , as well as the head of 1+1 Digital Studios and the author of the idea, Iryna Nikonchuk , undertook the screenplay of the story about the world of modern teenagers and their problems. The main producer of the series was the director of 1+1 Digital and Innovation Anna Tkachenko .

According to the script created by the creative union of Yevgenia Babenko and Pavlo Ostrikov , the main events unfold to the hits of Max Barsky , who is one of the performers who represents the voice of the new generation. In the center of events are four characters and their closest friends, who, in addition to the classic problems of generation Z, also have exams on their noses.  

" The story about teenagers worried about the upcoming final exams immediately attracted me with its honesty and its attempt to talk to the audience about serious topics - but easily, without too much pathos and with humor. When I read the script, I was immediately worried myself, so I warned all participants in the filming process in advance: the main thing is not to spoil this story. The series promises to be exciting, funny and provoke a whole range of emotions and sensations in the viewer. Therefore, it seems to me, it will be necessary to watch it carefully: there is a huge risk of falling in love with the main characters ," says Antonio Lukich , director of "SEX, INSTA and ZNO".

In search of non-trivial characters, the casting director of the project Alla Samoilenko paid attention to the students of KNUTKT named after I. Karpenko-Karogo — Hannusya Yarmolenko , Andrii Maksimova , Sonya Slyusarenko , Karina Cherchevych , Vitaly Zeleny , Lyubava Shoklyu , Yuriy Reks and Hryhoriy Naumov , who will play the main roles. The viewer will also see familiar faces in the series: Natalia Vasko and Irma Vitovska . Generation Z will be delighted by the cameo of Insta-idols Iryna Kudashova (the series " School ") and Yulia Gamalii (the group Open Kids).

Since the series is created specifically for the online platform, it shows as realistically as possible, sometimes harshly and without " filters ", how and what generation Z lives, and things are called by their names without censorship. This makes it possible to preserve the individuality of the characters and convey the necessary messages to the audience — teenagers, their parents, and teachers.

"We wanted to create a series about the problems of teenagers, their fears, true hidden desires and insecurities in everything. When we were working on the format and the idea, we did a lot of interviews with teenagers to find out what their real problems are and put that into the story and characters. Therefore, the tape will contain many real stories that 16-year-olds entrusted to us. It will be an honest, frank and, in many ways, very funny story about growing up in Ukraine ."   — says Iryna Nikonchuk , head of 1+1 Digital Studios.

In order to draw attention to what worries high school students and graduates, the start of filming was preceded by a social action. On Sunday, July 12, several silent demonstrations of teenagers in medical masks, criss-crossed with black tape, took place in Kyiv. In their hands they held cardboard signs with handwritten manifestos about what they care about most, as well as a cryptic signature   @sex_insta_zno , by which anyone could find a page of the same name on Instagram with intriguing content. This action is a signal of an unresolved generational problem and that the voice of the new - Z - is often ignored.

" Our teenagers today also have their voice and, despite the greater freedom they now have, they still face pressure, misunderstanding, rejection and imposition of views on the world that are unacceptable to them. However, their voice today is the voice of our future. Therefore, you should not deny, ignore or fight, but try to hear, understand and understand. That's what we tried to do in our series ," says Anna Tkachenko , director of 1+1 Digital and Innovation, the main producer of the series.

The premiere of " SEX, INSTA and ZNO " will take place on 1+1 video in the fall of 2020. The series will be available to viewers by subscription. Pre-sale at a special early bird price will start in mid-October.
