Currently, Kherson and some regions of the region are under temporary occupation by Russian troops, and peaceful residents are cut off from any connection with the civilized world. Occupiers kidnap people - activists, journalists, volunteers and patriots of Ukraine. For example, football referee Iryna Petrova was in Russian captivity for 5 days.

The editors of "Profutbol Digital", a sports project of the 1+1 media group, spoke with Iryna in a special interview, the full version of which is available on YouTube . The author of the material is sports journalist Oleksiy Serov .

So, Iryna Petrova talked about how she met the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region, what the rallies were like under the muzzles of Russian machine guns, how the occupiers kidnapped her for her pro-Ukrainian position and what the road to Kyiv was like through the temporarily occupied Crimea, the territory of Russia and Georgia. In addition, the heroine of the material recalled a pro-Russian football tournament held by collaborators in her hometown.

"I was detained on May 9. I published information on the Telegram channel about people who defected to Russia, about collaborators. And literally half an hour later, they came straight to the yard for me... They put on handcuffs and took me to the police station. First, they wanted to check my phone for provocative information. The investigator noted that for now I will be detained for 3 to 15 days, but if they find something more provocative, up to 10 years, " Iryna said.

We will remind you that the "Profutbol Digital" editors talk on their platforms about athletes who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and those who personally experienced the horrors of the war that the Russian Federation unleashed on the territory of Ukraine. In particular, the material about football players who survived and evacuated from Mariupol is available for viewing here and here, and the video interview with the participation of Dynamo Kyiv and Dnipro ex-voce Svyatoslav Syrota can be viewed at by this link .
