The position of the 1+1 media group regarding the construction of the state multiplex MH-7

Another argument is the low power of transmitters. In particular, during the initial analysis of the power of the transmitters of the planned MH-7 in comparison with the current Zeonbud network, it turns out that in 90% of cases the MH-7 transmitters will be located on the same TV towers as the Zeonbud transmitters, but their power will be lower . In order to achieve the maximum coverage area from the transmitter, in most cases it is necessary to place the transmission antennas as high as possible on the television tower, but these places are already occupied by technical means of "Zeonbudu". That is, under such conditions, the state multiplex KRRT will not have advantages in coverage compared to the "Zeonbud" multiplexes, and the border areas will not be covered at all. If the UDCR nevertheless undertakes to recalculate the power of the MX-7 and change the modulation to 64 QAM to improve coverage, the issue of international coordination in the border areas will arise, and this is a long process. Therefore, there is no question of the multiplex construction period by the end of the year under such conditions. In the best case scenario, this will happen by the end of 2022, as KRRT plans to purchase transmitters from abroad.

In connection with this, the question arises quite logically - what is the goal pursued by the state: to provide citizens with high-quality and affordable broadcasting, or to develop projects "for a tick". We understand that there may be questions regarding the certification of the equipment used for the measurements, the calculation methodology itself, etc. But the range of the transmitters differs by 3 (three) times, and not by mere percentages. Therefore, setting aside any manipulations, we call on the responsible authorities not to make populist and ill-conceived decisions, but instead to develop effective plans to ensure national security and defense, involving industry representatives in consultations and dialogue.
