Statement of 1+1 media regarding the issue of "Secret Materials" dated April 27

The "Secret Materials" project, which is broadcast on the "1+1" TV channel, covers current and resonant topics or events, controversial situations and crimes for society. For this purpose, the journalists of the project conduct their own investigations and find out all the circumstances of the events. The topic of biological laboratories, about which information appeared repeatedly in the media, is undoubtedly resonant and deserves attention, because the fact of the existence of state biological laboratories, which received, among other things, international aid, is confirmed. Therefore, the editors of "Secret Materials" started an investigation with the aim of understanding the situation and finding out what is really happening in the laboratories, to confirm or refute the loud theses previously voiced by other mass media.

As the focus of the discussion has shifted towards the accusations against the program and is already affecting the issue of journalistic dignity and decency, the 1+1 media group will continue the investigation and provide a non-committal, comprehensive and objective coverage of the topic. We have already sent an appeal to the heads of the laboratories, the US Embassy in Ukraine, the Ministry of Health, the National Security and Defense Service, the Security Service of Ukraine and other involved parties and are waiting for their approval for comments. The information received will be covered in further investigations of both "Secret Materials" and "TSN" materials.

We realize that the plot, which was released on April 27, is superficial and does not answer all the questions asked. But he certainly did not intend to play along with the Russian occupiers. This is convincingly proven by the history of the program - stories for all 7 years of the existence of "Secret Materials" are in the public domain, during which time journalists have conducted thousands of investigations and repeatedly debunked Russian fakes.
