Let's Learn More About Heroic Cities: New Episodes of the Patriotic Animated Series "Ukraine. Unconquered Cities"

On Monday, September 2, at 7:30 p.m., TV channel PLUSPLUS will host the television premiere of new episodes of the children's patriotic cartoon series "Ukraine. Unconquered cities".

So, on the occasion of the release of the animated series, a special preview was held for the wards of the "Zaporuka" Charitable Foundation, which takes care of seriously ill children who live in the Dacha family home.

The animation project tells about Ukrainian cities that suffered during the Russian war in Ukraine. In particular, the 5-minute episodes talk about historical monuments in the context of modern reality, which creates a parallel between the past and the present. In the first part of each episode, the main characters travel through cities, helping children to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Ukrainian history and experience the heroism of the past. In the second part, in a light and accessible form for children, avoiding sensitive images, the realities of the damage caused to Ukrainian cities and cultural monuments are shown. So, the new series will introduce children to such cities as Kharkiv and Mykolaiv.

Note that the animated series was created in 2D format using the computer translation technique in the Toon Boom harmony program. According to the creators of the project, the use of 2D animation made it possible to make talking about difficult things less painful and even therapeutic, which is an important point when creating content for a children's audience. In addition, it took a year for production to create all series of the patriotic project, including the new ones.

The project "Ukraine. "Unconquered Cities" is intended for children aged 6 to 12, as well as for parents, teachers and everyone who wants to teach the younger generation to appreciate the cultural heritage and remember the history of Ukraine. At most, the animation should be interesting and informative even for a foreign viewer, because it tells about Ukraine's contribution to the cultural and scientific heritage of the world, as well as about the heroic resistance of Ukrainians during the war with Russia.

""Ukraine. Unconquered cities" was created so that our children know and feel pride for their Motherland from an early age. We wanted the children to learn about our history, heroic cities and the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people through an exciting plot. This is our way of raising a generation that will be proud of its country and protect its values in the future," commented Ivanna Naida, general producer of PLUSPLUS TV channel.

By the way, the past seasons of the PLUSPLUS TV channel production project won first place in the Identity+ nomination from Osvitoria.Media award 2024.
