"30 steps forward": TSN. Tyzhden created a special project about the path of independent Ukraine

From January 31 to August 24, every Sunday at 7:30 p.m. on channel 1+1 as part of TSN. The week will be released special project "30 steps forward" , which was prepared on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine. Each of the stories of the cycle is dedicated to one year of independent Ukraine - events and people who, starting in 1991, changed our country and the world. The team defined the mission of the special project to show the audience the significance and value of each year of Ukraine's independence, to remind them of each "lesson" and to inspire new achievements and victories of future generations.

"We decided that our project will not be just a collection of archives. For us, "30 years" sounded like "30 lessons" that each of us individually, and Ukraine as a whole, learned during this time. We learned from our mistakes and victories and moved forward. Step by step. That's why it's more about our journey that spans an entire generation," says Alla Mazur, host of TSN.Tyzhnya.

The author of the special project was the special correspondent of TSN. Tyzhden Stanislav Yasynskyi, who in 30 series, it will tell about the events, disasters, achievements and experience of the entire state, starting from 1991 to the present day.

"This is incredibly interesting work. As a lawyer by training and a journalist with experience at the age of 22, I thought I knew our modern history well. But the search for facts about the first years of our independent history is very similar to a puzzle that is difficult to put together. It turns out that there are a lot of events in our shared history that are not very convenient to remember. Therefore, my task as an author is to interest the viewer and show at what cost independence was fought for , " says Stanislav Yasynskyi, the author of the project.

The first story, which viewers saw on January 31, told about Ukraine's path to independence and the first year of the country's life after its declaration. The audience was reminded of the "financial reform", as a result of which people lost more than 14 billion rubles from the so-called "books". About the prices, which increased fivefold, and the first "Kravchuchka", which was produced in 1991 at the Kyiv Aviation Plant.

The next episode, which 1+1 viewers saw on the air on Sunday, February 7, was dedicated to 1992. In the special project series, they talked about   at what price did Ukraine legitimize its own flag, coat of arms and anthem, as well as create the Kyiv Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The plot mentioned the total shortage of goods, the first   "stalls", when the shops were empty, and in small stalls you could buy chocolate bars, chewing gum, liquor, etc. They talked about the so-called "new Ukrainians" and crimson jackets, which were a characteristic sign of belonging to this stratum of the population.

"Every week we will talk about the next year, the next learned or an unlearned lesson and a new step on the path to independence. And the first series have already convinced : It was successful! The audience likes it. They recognize themselves and their lives. And most importantly, they see not only how it happened, but also why. They understand that not everything is worth repeating," comments Robert Opalenyk, editor-in-chief of TSN. Tizhden.

Next Sunday, the story will tell about the main events of 1993. In particular, about the first mobile phone call in the history of Ukraine, the beginning of the era of privatization and vouchers. They will also remember the religious group "White Brotherhood", which became famous for having scheduled the end of the world for November 24, 1993, but were detained by law enforcement officers.
