Kherson football players and ultras at war: Profootball Digital told the stories of the defenders
Ultras of the municipal football club "Krystal Kherson" could not remain aloof from the merciless actions of the occupiers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. They began to fight for the liberation of the region. And besides them, the players of the football club went to defend Ukraine from the aggressor. In particular, Ukrainian football player, midfielder of FC "Krystal Kherson" Viktor Martyan joined the ranks of the ZSU. His wife also joined the Armed Forces at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Sports journalist of the "Profootball Digital" project - Oleksiy Serov - personally met with his compatriots in order to talk about the occupation of Kherson region, the tragic history of the Kherson Teroborona, torture in prisons in a special material.
The heroes of the issue are Vanya "Kipish", a fighter of the 98th battalion of the Azov Military Police, Nikita "Tiren", the founder of the ultras movement "Red Fox", football player, soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Martyan and his wife, lieutenant of the Medical Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anya Martyan.

" Most of the boys are currently fighting at the front in various units. Some of them were and are in the " Azov " regiment . Some of them are in the 98th separate battalion of the " Azov " TRO , some are in the special operations forces. Those who stayed in the rear, like me temporarily, are engaged in volunteer activities (we provide the boys with cars and the necessary equipment. Fortunately, there are not among us those who do nothing " , - shared Nikita "Tiren" , the founder of the "Red Fox" ultras movement.
Also, the heroes of the issue talked about Azov's reaction to the terrorist attack in Olenivka, which the Russian Federation committed against Ukrainian prisoners of war, life in the temporarily occupied Chornobayivka, how the profession of a football player helps in the war, and what horrors doctors have to face on the front lines.
"The most terrible were shrapnel wounds in the shoulder. It so happened that then we just arrived with an inspection and started shouting to the guys on the radio: "A doctor is urgently needed. Shrapnel!". Apart from the form and the pen in my pocket, I had nothing. When she asked the soldier to lower his palm, which he used to cover the shoulder of the other hand, she saw a hole. They collected everything that was from the other boys. They took out a fragment from the projectile and began to sew it up, " said Anya Martyan , lieutenant of the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, Vanya "Kipish", a fighter of the 98th battalion of the Azov TRO, shared his feelings after coming under the first fire:
"During the first combat mission, we came under fire from the "Grada " . 50 meters from us, Russian troops hit 2 "Gradiv" cassettes. I thought I should feel something. However, as I lay in the fetal position in the basement, there was an emptiness inside me. I didn't feel anything . "
