Viktoriya Nikonenko - Correspondent (trainee) of TSN - about her internship

"What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly? »

A good friend of mine quoted me and helped me make a resume video, although there was no desired job at that time. In the video, I boldly stated that I am a novice correspondent and want to work for 1+1. That's exactly what I thought with a New Year's glass of champagne.

I knew about the internship program for a long time, but there were always a lot of "buts". At that time I lived in Kharkiv, I already had a job and did not have a journalistic education. But I had a dream. And so, a few days after my filming, as if by order, a vacancy for TSN Correspondent appeared. Do I believe in omens? Probably so. I sent my video resume and then everything was like in a movie: trains, interviews, nervousness, moving.

Now, almost six months later, I have to scroll through hundreds of photos on my phone to remember those first days. Here they are - the pass, the first photo with the New Year's letters TSN, the newsroom, the hardware, and most importantly - the studio. And here are the first photos at the workplace. I remember that at first I did not have my own workplace and the editor-in-chief offered the desk of a journalist who was on a business trip. He turned out to be Oleksandr Zagorodny. It was only later that we got to know each other and even became friends, and I wrote one of my first stories with him.

But I remember very well how I gasped when my last name was heard on the air for the first time after the story. I asked to shoot with Dima Furdak. Filmed about the readiness of hotels for Eurovision. He entrusted to write his own plot. Of course, I edited it, and then the question sounded: "Can you edit?". Of course, the editing director edits, but the journalist also takes an active part. Yes, that day was also my first story editing.

Already later, Dmytro became my curator. When you choose a curator, be prepared that you will be almost inseparable with him. Because it was with him later on the evening switch-on from Sofiyivska Square, and in the courts, and in the Presidential Administration, and on "Voice of the Country" as well. How happy I was when, having entered the backstage of the Voice, Dmytro gave me the microphone and said: "Work!".

After that there were independent shootings. At first, only synchronicities - short interviews - were trusted. Subsequently, together with the producers, she also developed her own topics, which were later turned into plots. Not so long ago, the first plot sounded in my voice. My dad then said: "I didn't think it was you!".

But my internship was not limited to work. There were tours of the office, and trainings, and creative master classes. I am delighted with Natalochka Shchuka's travel stories and now I know many interesting places that are definitely worth visiting. I have always been a very sporty person. Once, on the internal portal, I saw that 1+1 was taking part in a marathon as a team. I knocked and this door opened for me. And now I'm already running the winner's charity race together with the whole team of pluses in bright yellow branded t-shirts!

This year is significant not only for me, but also for TSN itself. During my internship, our newsroom prepared not only broadcasts, but also the News Museum, the Winners-2 project, Independence through the eyes of TSN. Events here were simply raging. Absolutely everyone worked, worried and ran - from cameramen to the main producer. Why I liked the news - you are always up to date with all the events. No, not even like that, you are at the epicenter of these events!
