Olympic champion Olga Harlan joined the "Sports Front" project
Ukrainian saber fencer, Olympic champion Olga Kharlan became the new ambassador of the large-scale communication campaign of 1+1 media — "Sports Front". In the thematic video message, Olga emphasized that Russia continues to shell the civilian population and destroy infrastructure, each time confirming the terrorist nature of the political regime.
"Every day I feel the pain that war brings to people. He pierces my heart like a sharp saber. And so every time I hear about the threat of a missile attack on my native Mykolaiv. Around the city, where my parents, all my relatives, friends, coaches are now. They have to hide in basements to survive. All Ukrainians have to fight for their lives every day..." the Olympic champion said in the video.

In addition, Olga Harlan called on all Ukrainian athletes to join the fight and act on the sports front as one team, and also shared how the events in Ukraine affect her emotional state:
"It is very difficult to hide your emotions when 53 rockets are directed at Mykolaiv the day before your competition. Because of this, in fact, such sports results are obtained... You also have to wage war with your emotions. I am also fighting against the admission of Russians and Belarusians to international competitions... There are rumors that Russian athletes will be allowed to compete. We are fighting to prevent this from happening."
By the way, on November 26, the Congress of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, during which the further status of the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in competitions and tournaments will be considered . In addition, the ratification of the decision of the Executive Committee on the appointment of the interim president is on the agenda. We will remind that FIE was previously headed by Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov.
