The position of the 1+1 TV channel in response to the statement of the "European Solidarity" faction
In response to the statement of the "European Solidarity" faction regarding the release of the "Right to Power" program dedicated to the "Medvedchuk tapes", blocking the release of prisoners and exchange for television cameras for the sake of the PR of the 5th President Petro Poroshenko, we note the following. TV channel 1+1 has no intention of apologizing for the honest and objective presentation of events and the unbiased position that sounded on the air about grams . Instead, we demand an apology from the members of "European Solidarity" who insulted the guests present on the air - ATO soldiers and volunteers - by calling them "black political technologists".
As stated in the statement of "European Solidarity", the 1+1 TV channel is waiting for an official appeal through the "relevant authorities" and is ready to provide answers to all constructive questions, if they are voiced. We do not consider it expedient to support the regular efforts of representatives of the " EU " to create public resonance, manipulate and play on sentiments, sow hatred and divert the public's attention from really important events in the country with the help of populist methods and the substitution of concepts.
It is noteworthy that it was "European Solidarity" that found a reason to loudly announce the boycott of the 1+1 TV channel. This happened after a similar decision by the OPZZ party, which currently ignores all broadcasts that talk about "Medvedchuk tapes". We will remind that at one time the TV channel 1+1, which always has a proactive and pro-Ukrainian position, was also boycotted by Viktor Yanukovych. Unfortunately, the rhetoric and actions of the " EU " and the OPZZ are increasingly becoming similar.
Regarding loud statements about "media killers", the 1+1 TV channel would like to remind the " EU " about the attempts of the authorities in 2016 to deprive the TV channel of its broadcasting license for no reason. After the failure of these attempts and based on the "Medvedchuk tapes", we do not rule out that a share of the shares in the 1+1 structure could end up with Oksana Marchenko - Viktor Medvedchuk's wife - in the interests of Petro Poroshenko. It is worth mentioning that in 2018, with the connivance of the then current government, TV channels 112, ZIK and News One were merged into Viktor Medvedchuk's Novyny holding company.
We also consider massive bot attacks, which we systematically observe on all pages of 1+1 media after every statement that goes against the interests of the party and its leader Petro Poroshenko, to be a vivid example of "media killers".
We do not consider the constructive discussion that took place on the air of the TV channel as a manifestation of "sexism", and instead we consider it necessary to remind about such cases in the ranks of the "EU" , including from the point of view of the party leader .
If the representatives of the above-mentioned faction have a desire to express their position and discuss topics relevant to millions of Ukrainians, and not manipulate public opinion once again and sow discord, we invite you to do so on the air of the talk show "The Right to Power", where the editors of the program systematically invite all political forces, guided by the principle of balance of opinions.
