"Sports Front": Zhan Beleniuk calls for the expulsion of Russians and Belarusians from the international arena
The 1+1 media group, together with legendary athletes, continues to oppose the Russian Federation within the scope of the large-scale "Sports Front" communication campaign. Greco-Roman wrestler, Olympic champion Zhan Beleniuk joined the ranks of champions who are calling on the whole world to support the boycott of Russian and Belarusian athletes who spoke out "for the war" or did not voice their position.

In the thematic video, the multiple world and European champion, multiple Olympic medalist spoke about fellow athletes who had to replace training halls on the battlefield, and also called on the entire civilized world to support Ukraine on the sports front. In addition, Zhan Beleniuk noted:
"A year ago, I considered the title of Olympic champion the main victory of my life. Today, like all Ukrainians, I long for one and only victory - victory in the war with Russia. On February 24, we, Ukrainian athletes, were not ready for the championships and the Olympics...".
In addition, the wrestler of the Greco-Roman style shared his thoughts on why Russian and Belarusian athletes neglected the Olympic principles.
"If their helmsman values Olympic principles for nothing, why should they, who actively support Putin, pay attention to any principles?! People neglected everything, incited enmity, told that the killing of Ukrainians was the norm. They pointed out that their president is doing everything right by annexing our territories and holding illegal referendums there under the butts of machine guns. If these people have reached such a life due to a lack of brains, it is better for them to isolate themselves and compete with each other," emphasized Zhan Beleniuk.
