The President of Ukraine signed the law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Physical Culture and Sports"

On September 6, the Verkhovna Rada by a constitutional majority adopted amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Physical Culture and Sports " , according to which sports clubs are clearly declared as owners of rights to sports events. And, according to the procedure, this Draft Law will be submitted to the President of Ukraine for signing.

On Friday, September 30, the Voice of Ukraine (the official printed body of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine) published the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Physical Culture and Sports" signed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky! Thus, this law enters into force on October 1, 2022.

Instead, there were those who opposed the decision of the Ukrainian Parliament from September 6 and created a petition dated September 9, with a request to veto the adopted draft law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Physical Culture and Sports", which prohibits national associations and leagues to dispose of media rights. In order for the President of Ukraine to consider this petition, it must receive 25,000 votes. But so far 1377 people have signed it.
